Being a government teacher, a Unit Trust Public Mutual Consultant
and a mom is always a juggling for me. Every day, through working days, I spent
my time around 8 to 9 hours at school. The school effective hours start at 7
a.m. until 12.50 p.m. but I normally stayed at school to do whatever need to be
done as needed. Here are some of my tips which I love to share with you on how
I stay productive at my workplace.
1) Simplified your stuff
Spend some times to tidy up my files, decluttering old stuff or
unhelpful stuff, and make it a habit to do soft copy documentation in order to
lessen stuff around your space. And of course, after that you need to
keep all your soft files in a much organised ways. Also, it
promotes intention or willingness to clean regularly.
2) Invest in good eyeglasses
When your work always engage you with gadget, please invest in good eye
glasses to promote eye health -- adjusting the amount of light entering
your eyes for optimum comfort and vision. A clear world with little smudges.
3) Invest in a good office chair
Mine is not the BEST in the world but just nice for me to spin around,
rest my arm and laid back. For RM90 of chair I've got nothing to complaint.
Choose chair base on your budget.
4) Get up, move around and poke your colleagues
Since, you are not working alone. Spend some times to walk around the
office and say nice things to your colleagues. Maintain good relationship with
everyone around including the guard, cleaner, gardener and mak cik canteen. And
get back to work.
5) Sanitize and brush your teeth
I wash my hand regularly and brush my teeth secretly if I stayed extra
hours at school. Why do I have to brush secretly? Is it a crime? haha
6) Stay hydrated
I do keep one or two bottles of drinking water inside my locker as
sometimes I forget to bring water to school. I used permanent marker to mark
the date I unseal the bottle cap. I also bring my own 3 in 1 sachets and
order free hot boiled water in a mug.
Jimat bah kan.
